Making a Robot.

Has anyone made a robot using the SCM-400 SnapMicro-1 kit or any of the kits using the PIC chip? I was think of using it to control a snap-Rover or snap-Rover plus. I have heard of some people who have done this and would like to hear what they did and how it worked out.

Hello Dale

Yes, I have used the Picaxe module from the XP set with the Snap Rover. I connected Picaxe output ports 0,1,2 and 4 to the motor driver module and connected the Infrared module from Snap Circuits light to port 3. I used a separate 5v power supply with a common earth connection for the Picaxe circuit. Then I used my TV remote to send control signals to the robot.

Works well.
